  • Lead on web & social media site activities, demonstrating continual improvement
  • Lead on innovative projects and activities that will further engage our prospects
  • Research, write, edit and implement content information for the organisation to be used on the Internet sites
  • Support Marketing efforts by researching, writing and editing the organisations latest events, initiatives, activities and collaborations
  • Develop editorial guidelines and styles for the organisations sites and for print publications
  • Train others on the correct usage of the organisations editorial guidelines in creating web pages
  • Monitor and provide analysis of social media trends and impact on Swifta’s brand
  • Act as Swifta’s frontline ambassador, interacting with clients and fans in real time on various platforms (with supervision and approvals)
  • Participating in minute by minute online conversations by answering questions, offering solutions and mediating conversations and creating content for feeds and discussions on various sites
  • Coordinate with other others to build reader interest and loyalty, to reinforce a consistent look and feel, and to identify ways to improve the usability of the organisations site
  • Assist on coordinating marketing calendar with emphasis on online activities
  • Research new and emerging developments in electronic communications that can be used to increase visibility and enhance better communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Head general site maintenance
  • Prepare reports to update internal staff on usage statistics
  • Continuous monitoring and coverage of all sites

  • Explore and encourage innovative and exciting approaches to engage with clients and audience
  • Apply analytics to sites to better manage and engage with prospects

  • Any qualification combination or working towards a Bachelors Degree in journalism, Marketing or related field AND internet development, Communications  (Master a plus)
  • Can demonstrate experience in methods and techniques of preparing and coordinating online material & printed publications
  • Has experience in techniques used to create and edit HTML coding and/or programs
  • Can write and edit clear, concise, accurate and effective informational materials for public distribution
  • Can establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
  • Can operate a computer, scanner, digital and standard camera and other computer related equipment
  • Research and interview skills would be desirable
  • Must demonstrate the correct use of the English language (grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary)
  • Is self motivated, innovative and confident in putting forth new ideas
  • Can work well under pressure and with a broad scope
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • IT literate


This role will suit someone self motivated, proactive, confident and innovative. You will act as the organisations ambassador; therefore working with Swifta’s goals and vision in mind will be essential.
